Maxwell isn’t that easy to learn - however I sure do like the POWER - I"m beginning to think Maxwell is the only renderer - that’s ‘for real’ now. Oh my gosh! The difference between fidgeting around in Arion and KeyShot is night and day. I went ahead in KeyShot like greased lightening - whereas Arion wasn’t as intuitive for me. Wow~ only 195 euros? $243 dollars? I’m checking it out now! Nice graphics! Took a long time to get very little payback. SeaSonic 660W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply I have a configuration that will do that - ProcessorĬorsair Vengeance DDR3-1600 240-pin DIMM 2x8GB 16GB and Octane? I don’t know - I tried it and it did nothing for me, was sort of a flat line - so now I’m going to watch the CyberMonday sales and see what goes lowest - keeping Maxwell as my # 1 choice - and drooling over a really great processor to make a render in 5 minutes with Maxwell. KeyShot - finally - doesn’t cut the images like Maxwell does - and Maxwell is 1/2 the price - in fact, Keyshot is almost 3x more expensive - just overpriced IMO. V-Ray would be fine otherwise - especially with the integration in Rhino 5. Here’s why: V-Ray has a dongle - which I loathe - and have to have shipped - so it is I’m in China and that’s a problem. Now, after watching some youtube clips I have a new leader: Maxwell Render. Yea - well - still researching the last three contenders - KeyShot - V-Ray - Maxwell (and even revisited Octane). ![]()
